Ultimate BBQ Plate

Bold, saucy, and made to share. Smoky heat and deep savoury flavour come together in one generous plate.
INGREDIENTS (Serves 2-3):
- 2 chicken thighs or drumsticks, or 250–300g beef (short ribs, steak, or your preferred cut) OR 250–300g tofu, tempeh, or plant-based protein
- 3–4 Tbsp KUME BBQ Sauce or KUME Chipotle Sauce per protein of choice
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup kale or leafy greens
- 1 Tbsp neutral oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional garnish)
DIRECTIONS
- Marinate the protein: Coat your chicken, beef, or plant-based protein generously with KUME BBQ or Chipotle Sauce. Let it sit for at least 15–20 minutes (longer if you have time).
- Cook until caramelized: Grill or pan-sear over medium heat until cooked through and nicely charred at the edges. For tofu or plant-based options, cook until golden and slightly crisp. Brush with extra sauce in the last few minutes for a glossy finish.
- Grill the vegetables: Toss zucchini, tomatoes, and greens lightly with oil and a pinch of salt. Grill or pan-sear until tender with a bit of colour.
- Plate it up: Arrange everything on one big plate. Spoon over any extra sauce and finish with fresh herbs if you like. Big flavours, no complicated steps.
