Rainbow Rice Bowl

A vibrant, nutrient-packed bowl of seasonal greens and protein, powered by the deep, savoury complexity of KUME.


INGREDIENTS (Serves 1-2):

  • 1.5 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or quinoa)
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sautéed kale or spinach
  • 1/2 cup grilled broccoli florets
  • 3-4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
  • 1/4 cup pickled red peppers
  • 1 salmon fillet (grilled or pan-seared) or any choice of your protein
  • 1 large egg (sunny-side up) optional
  • 3-4 Tbsp KUME Classic or Chipotle Sauce
  • 1 pinch toasted sesame seed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prep the Rainbow: Lightly sauté your veggies with a touch of olive oil and salt until they are vibrant and tender.
  2. Sizzle your Protein: Pan-sear the salmon until flaky and fry your egg, keeping the yolk runny.
  3. Build the Foundation: Scoop the warm rice into the bowl.
  4. Arrange with Love: Section out your veggies and place the salmon and egg in the center.
  5. The Final Drizzle: Finish with a bold drizzle of sauce. No rigid methods—mix it up or enjoy it section by section.
